2008 Certificate IV Karen Woodley is a proud Waka Waka Arrernte woman and a mother of 2 boys whom she loves dearly. Karen works as a Project Officer for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships within the Queensland Department of Communities in the Mackay region. She is currently undertaking a double degree in Social Work and Criminology and is looking to graduate in 2010. Karen is the voice of encouragement, leadership and empowerment for her people and her desire is to be alongside her sisters and brothers in implementing positive, visionary and progressive change for the betterment of Aboriginal people across our Nation. She has attributes such as reliability, loyalty, passion, integrity and ambition together with being a strong, focused and happy woman. |
