Apply now for a Leadership Plus scholarship to attend the National Forum
There will be 50 scholarship places available to delegates.
Who should apply for a scholarship?
- Must be a graduate of one of the AILC’s Indigenous Leadership courses
- Must have the ability to fully participate in the conference from 12 - 15 July 2011 in Sydney, New South Wales.
- Applicants must answer all the questions outlined in the application. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the best applications received.
- People who have completed a FaHCSIA Indigenous leadership program and an AILC's Indigenous Leadership Course may also apply for a scholarship.

Creating the next generation of Australia's Indigenous Leaders
Leadership Plus will create a national network of Indigenous leaders, connecting people around the country who have taken part in Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre learning programs. The power and potential of more than 800 young and emerging Indigenous leaders will be harnessed through a new network, benefiting communities across Australia. The Leadership Plus network members, who will be drawn from among the graduates of the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre (AILC), will be involved in regular regional meetings, online discussion forums, networking meetings with industry, and an annual national conference.

Leadership Plus National Forum
The Leadership Plus National Forum will be about extending alumni members' leadership skills and allow them the opportunity to build relationship, debate issues in open forums and contribute to research in areas including:
- characteristics of effective Indigenous leadership
- leadership styles in families and communities
- leadership styles in organisations and enterprises in local, regional and national settings
The first Leadership Plus National Forum will be in held in Sydney at the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence 12 - 15 July 2011.

Leadership Plus Regional Forums
Leadership Plus Regional Forums are coming to a town near you! The regional forums will provide an opportunity for AILC graduates to network with each other, share ideas and meeting representatives from our corporate partners.
The regional forums will be an extension of the Leadership Plus National Forum, building on current knowledge and experiential lessons. Addressing and building on the discussions that have arisen out of the national and developed to the need of the regional and local perspective. Leadership plus will be about extending alumni members' leadership skills and allow them the opportunity to build relationships, debate issues in open forums and contribute to research in areas including:

- leadership styles in families and communities

Leadership Plus Residential Program - Canberra, ACT 12 - 14 October 2011
The Leadership Plus Residential Program will be about bringing together Indigenous young people and Elders to discuss leadership. This will be a program that is about relationship building, two way sharing of knowledge and experience between young people and elders around leadership.
